From raw materials to a stainless steel lunch box or bread bin at your home.
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, and often nickel and other metals, which provide strength, durability, and rust resistance. All raw materials for our products are sourced in India. Once the metals are mixed and formed into stainless steel, the stainless steel is rolled into thin sheets. These sheets are then purchased by our supplier.
We tell our supplier which stainless steel lunch boxes, fruit bowls, and bread bins we need, and in what sizes. Our supplier then visits one of the hundreds of workshops in the city and delivers their own stainless steel sheets.
At the workshop, they start by creating a custom mold. The cut sheets provided by our supplier are pressed into the mold using hydraulic presses and stamps. This gives the stainless steel lunchbox its final shape, including the lid and compartments. If the lunchbox consists of multiple parts, they are joined and welded together. This can be done manually or with robots. Welding ensures that the seams are seamless and strong.
Because the lunch boxes don't look their best at this stage, they need to be polished to a shine. This is done in several stages and with various polishes to achieve a smooth, glossy surface. Polishing also removes any sharp edges and imperfections.
After polishing, the lunch boxes are thoroughly cleaned to remove all polish residue and other contaminants. They are then inspected for quality. Any defective products are removed from production. The lunch boxes are fitted with closures, such as clips or hinges. The finished lunch boxes are packed in protective materials to prevent damage during transport.
These stainless steel lunch boxes are then collected by our supplier and taken to the port to be loaded into a container bound for the Netherlands. Once the stainless steel lunch boxes arrive in Rotterdam, we personally collect them.
In the Netherlands, we wait for your orders on our website. As soon as an order arrives, we'll package the product and ship it to your address the same day.
